Events update slices; templates display the result

A slice belongs to one instance's data island. Bind a control's event with slice, choose its value with slice-value, and render it through datadom.slices. Event metadata lives alongside it in datadom.eventPayloads.

Try typing and leaving a field, clearing its value, moving the pointer, and checking or unchecking a box. The chosen event determines when the displayed slice changes; declaring a default and displaying an input fallback are separate choices.
